Mix Aircraft Solutions is a veteran owned company.
Hello Friends and Fellow Aviators,
For those who may not know me, my name is Tim Mix and I am President and owner. I started my career working in the United States Navy, on environmental and ejection systems for the F/A 18C Hornet. The F/A 18C Hornet is a twin engine, supersonic, multi-role combat jet that the Blue Angels routinely perform on. After military service, I pursued my private pilot’s license. It was also during this time that I made a commitment in obtaining my Airframe, Powerplant and Inspection Authorization certificate, commonly known as the A&P IA credential. During the early years of being an aviation mechanic, I personally embarked on restoring a 1948 Cessna 140, formerly owned by aviation adventurer and writer, Bud Helmircks, where he flew a total of 60,000 hours in Alaska. He and his wife Connie, documented his travels in the book, “Flight of the Arctic Tern.”
Working on general aviation aircraft has been my passion and I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of aircraft. You can find a list of certifications and the types of aircraft I have worked on here.
I spend my free time with my wife Camie and two dogs, Magneto and Cooper. Also being a perpetual hobbyist, my current project is restoring a 1978 Toyota FJ Land Cruiser.
For the love of flying and more ~ Tim
